Power the Future of AI & Why This Role Matters

As an Infrastructure Transformation Engineer – IT, you will help modernize Sirion’s technology infrastructure and operational capabilities in the age of AI. You will work closely with IT teams and partner extensively with the Information Security organization to drive secure adoption of emerging technologies, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

The role combines expertise in infrastructure, automation, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity to improve operational efficiency, strengthen Sirion’s cybersecurity posture, and ensure that technology innovation aligns with enterprise security, governance, and compliance requirements. You will play a critical role in helping IT navigate rapid AI adoption, technology proliferation, and increasing cyber threats while building a scalable, secure, and future-ready technology environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Infrastructure Modernization & Technology Transformation
  • Partner with IT teams to modernize enterprise infrastructure, operational tooling, and technology platforms.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement scalable solutions that improve performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Support cloud transformation, infrastructure optimization, and technology standardization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve service delivery through modern technologies.

AI & Automation Enablement

  • Evaluate and implement AI-powered tools, automation platforms, and intelligent operational solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows, scripts, integrations, dashboards, and internal utilities.
  • Support adoption of GenAI, copilots, workflow automation, and AI-driven productivity solutions.
  • Assess emerging AI technologies and recommend enterprise-ready solutions.
  • Cybersecurity & Security Engineering
  • Leverage cybersecurity expertise to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security teams to ensure secure implementation of infrastructure, tools, and AI technologies.
  • Embed security-by-design principles into all modernization initiatives.
  • Participate in security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technology evaluations.
  • Support vulnerability management, remediation planning, and security improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing security controls across cloud, infrastructure, endpoints, and operational platforms.
  • Evaluate AI and technology solutions from a cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and governance perspective.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure technology implementations comply with organizational security policies and standards.
  • Support audit readiness and compliance initiatives.
  • Help establish governance frameworks for AI, automation, and infrastructure modernization programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage technology-related risks effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a key liaison between IT, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Information Security teams.
  • Coordinate proof-of-concepts, pilot programs, testing, and production rollouts.
  • Drive alignment between innovation objectives and security requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current with emerging trends in AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, automation, and infrastructure engineering.
  • Recommend innovative solutions that improve security, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Promote best practices around automation, observability, resilience, and governance.

Skills & Experience & Technical You Bring To the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • 3–6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, IT operations, cybersecurity, DevOps, cloud engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and modern technology ecosystems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, or similar technologies.
  • Experience integrating systems using APIs and automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking, operating systems, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Required Cybersecurity Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, security architecture, and risk management practices.
  • Experience working with Information Security teams on secure technology implementations.
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust Architecture, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Security Monitoring and Logging, Vulnerability Management, Security Incident Response, and Data Protection and Privacy Controls.
  • Ability to assess infrastructure and technology solutions from a security and compliance perspective.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, or equivalent.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized environments.
  • Experience implementing enterprise automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI/GenAI platforms, copilots, and AI governance concepts.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Terraform Associate.
