Power the Future of AI-Driven Procurement & Why This Role Matters
We are looking for a Senior Data & AI Engineer who is passionate about building intelligent, production-grade data platforms and AI-powered applications that transform enterprise procurement. This is not a traditional data engineering role—it requires someone who can bridge data engineering, software development, AI, and product thinking to solve complex business problems. You will work closely with Procurement, Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to design scalable data pipelines, process large volumes of structured and unstructured enterprise data, and build AI-powered applications including copilots, chatbots, intelligent agents, and analytics solutions. If you enjoy working with cutting-edge AI technologies, large language models (LLMs), and modern data platforms to deliver measurable business outcomes, this role is built for you.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Data Engineering & Data Platform Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and modern data products for procurement, supplier, contract, spend, invoice, PO, RFx, and ERP datasets.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, validate, and serve structured, semi-structured, and unstructured enterprise data.
- Design data lakehouse, warehouse, semantic-layer, and business-ready data models to support analytics and AI applications.
- Implement data quality frameworks, lineage, governance, observability, validation rules, and production monitoring.
Unstructured Data Processing & Document Intelligence
- Build intelligent extraction pipelines for contracts, invoices, purchase orders, RFx documents, supplier files, spreadsheets, scanned PDFs, emails, and ERP exports.
- Develop OCR, document intelligence, NLP, LLM, and rules-based extraction workflows to convert enterprise documents into structured datasets.
- Extract tables, contract clauses, key-value pairs, entities, metadata, supplier attributes, spend classifications, and master data mappings.
- Define confidence scoring, exception handling, validation workflows, and human-in-the-loop review processes.
AI & LLM Application Development
- Design and build AI-powered applications including copilots, chatbots, AI agents, and intelligent workflow automation solutions.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), text-to-SQL, vector search, embeddings, hybrid retrieval, metadata filtering, and agent orchestration.
- Develop prompt management, conversation memory, tool/function calling, API integrations, and enterprise AI workflows.
- Apply guardrails, hallucination testing, evaluation frameworks, and LLM observability to ensure reliable production deployments
Software Engineering & Cloud Development
- Build scalable APIs, backend services, and cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices.
- Develop production-ready solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud platforms.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, databases, SaaS platforms, and procurement ecosystems.
- Ensure security, audit logging, access control, monitoring, and operational excellence across all solutions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Procurement, Sourcing, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business challenges into scalable AI and data solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the complete product lifecycle—from discovery and architecture to deployment and continuous improvement.
- Communicate technical designs, trade-offs, and solution approaches effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered capabilities that deliver measurable business impact.
Skills & Experience You Bring to the Table
- 5–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Software Engineering, or Enterprise Application Development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience building production-grade data pipelines, APIs, cloud-native applications, and AI-powered solutions.
- Expertise in transforming large volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into analytics-ready datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, ETL/ELT, API development, Git, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and cloud deployment.
