What’s New in Sirion 2.84:
Improved E-signature Experience, Change Control, and More…
- 15 min read
intro
At Sirion, we’re constantly striving to simplify contract management. One of the essential steps in achieving this idea is listening to the users of the platform – our customers. Each of Sirion’s releases are crafted keeping our customers’ needs in mind, enhancing not only the functionality but also their experience of using the platform.
What’s New in 2.84?
The 2.84 release contains a significant number of additions and improvements across Sirion’s Authoring, Auto-extraction (AE) modules, with the bulk of enhancements added to platform functionalities.
The top three themes of the 2.84 release are:
- Enhancements to the Adobe Sign experience
- Improvements to change and access control at the entity level
- Ease-of-configurability of B2B API token permissions
Adobe Sign Enhancements
Over several of our previous releases, we introduced features that significantly simplified the Adobe Sign experience. This included the addition of hybrid signing orders – allows users to customize signing orders via drag-and-drop – and a redesigned “Send for Signature” journey – giving users the experience of Adobe Sign’s native application interface within Sirion.
With 2.84, Sirion will now capture and provide recipient action information to its users. For instance, when a recipient delegates an Adobe Sign envelop to another user, Sirion captures the addition of the new user in the ESignature Status panel. Moreover, it also provides real-time updates on expired envelopes. This ensures efficient up-to-date tracking and management of e-signature envelopes.

The signature decline and cancellation notifications have been enhanced as well. From 2.84 onwards, the notification and notification email for signature request declined and cancelled will include the reason for decline/cancellation along with complete details of the action. This information can also be viewed on the Contract Request’s ESignature Status panel.

Change and Access Control Improvements
Given that collaboration is one of the critical areas of focus in contracting, Sirion has introduced a couple of changes with 2.84 that provide greater visibility and control across user-level change and access management.
- Get notified of other user/process actions on the same entity record details page: When a user attempts to make changes to an entity record that is simultaneously being modified by another user or the system via integration, the user will be notified through a dialogue box to prevent inadvertent overwriting.

- Ensure contract-level confidentiality: Users with access to a counterparty will no longer have automatic access to the contracts of that counterparty. If a contract or contract request is marked “Confidential”, only the named stakeholder will have access to that record/contract and all its child entities. Moreover, SirionBI data will also honor this selective access.

API Token Permissions Configurability
Ease-of-configurability of B2B API Token permissions has often emerged as a critical need with customers. Prior to this release, certain B2B API Token permissions were not supported on the Admin UI, hindering ease-of-configuration and permission management. With 2.84, the configurability has been shifted to OAuth Client Setup (Admin 2.0) for the following metadata:
- Token expiry
- Workflow permission
- Integration token type
This enhancement ensures ease of configurations, improved permissions management, and enhanced security.
