intro
The June 2025 product release brings a range of enhancements designed to help legal, procurement, and admin teams move faster, stay consistent, and scale with confidence. Whether it’s supporting complex contract structures, improving metadata governance, or simplifying configuration in Admin 2.0, every update in Version 2.94 is focused on making enterprise contracting more efficient and more controlled, without adding friction.
Here’s a closer look at what’s new.
Authoring – Less Manual Cleanup, More Confidence in Every Clause
Automate Complex Contract Structures with CLI Support in Workflow 2.0
Workflow 2.0 now supports Contract Line Items (CLIs) in both Contracts and Contract Draft Requests (CDRs). Features like CLI cloning and dynamic filtering allow legal and procurement teams to handle complex agreements with greater accuracy and fewer manual steps.
Focus on What Matters with Smarter Tag Discrepancy Filtering
Tag discrepancies are now hidden on executed or discarded documents. This change ensures users focus on active drafts and reduces distraction during review.
Reduce Input Errors with Clearer Clause Validation
Sirion now separates mandatory metadata from optional smart tags in clause validation. This makes the input process more intuitive and lowers the likelihood of errors during clause creation.
Edit Faster with Clickable Clause Tiles in View Mode
Clause, definition, signature, and smart tag tiles in view mode are now clickable. This provides direct access to edit actions via the Word Add-in and allows users to complete tasks more efficiently.
Take Full Control Over Digital Signature Activation
The digitalSignature flag is disabled by default. Admins can choose to activate it manually through Value Update Tasks, giving them full control over when digital signature flows are enabled.
Catch Changes Sooner with Clause Assembly Discrepancy Alerts
When metadata is modified after a document has been generated, Sirion now flags possible clause assembly discrepancies. Authorized users can review, resolve, or discard these discrepancies. APIs are available to support automated checks and resets.
Platform – Stronger Governance, Smarter Configuration with Admin 2.0
Strengthen Governance with Role Group Flow-Down for Meetings
Access control within governance workflows is now more precise. Admin 2.0 supports role group flow-downs to and from Governance Bodies and their Meetings. These entities can act as either “Parent Role Group” (PRG) or “Child Role Group” (CRG), giving admins greater flexibility in configuring permissions.
Ensure Seamless, Secure Deployments with Encrypted Field Support
Encrypted fields, including those protected via Bring Your Own Key (BYOK), can now be securely synchronized across environments during automated deployments. The system automatically adapts to the encryption settings of each environment. This allows organizations to maintain data integrity and meet compliance requirements without compromising deployment speed.
Distinct Branding with Personalized Email Logos for Email Templates
Teams can customize email logos based on single-select fields in Contract Draft Requests (CDRs). Whether it’s different divisions or regional offices, this update helps align visual identity across system-generated emails and improves trust with recipients.
Streamline Workflow Editing with Smart Migration Detection
Workflow editing has become simpler. Sirion has unified partial and full-edit modes into one experience and now automatically detects when a migration is needed based on the type of change. Admins no longer need to make that determination manually.
Tailor Contract Systems with Custom Metadata Controls
Organizations can now define their own Agreement Types, Clause Categories, and Defined Terms. This lets teams align Sirion’s data model with internal legal taxonomies and business structures. As a result, classification becomes more consistent and contract records easier to manage.
Improve Data Discipline with Mandatory Upload Enforcement
Admins can now require users to upload documents before proceeding in a workflow. A new “Upload Tree Document” field in Admin 2.0 enables this setting, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place before approvals or signatures move forward.
Localize Workflow Labels for Regional Consistency
Sirion now allows localization of workflow-related labels such as names, transitions, and terms used in the “Raise a Request” flow. Admins can configure these settings using Admin 1.0. This provides a more consistent and intuitive experience for users across regions.
Keep Data Clean with Cascade Archival of Linked Records
When a parent Contract or Supplier is archived, Sirion prompts users to archive all associated Workflow 2.0 records like SLAs, sub-contracts, and issues. This cascading archival improves data hygiene and lifecycle management.
Automate Faster with Clause Assembly and E-sign in Parallel
Clause Assembly, document sharing, and e-signature initiation can now be triggered in parallel within Workflow 2.0. These actions can be configured directly in the Workflow Designer, accelerating multi-step processes.
