intro
In our previous release blog for Sirion 2.84, we spotlighted key advancements in the e-signature experience and platform-wide change control—improvements that were highly requested by our customers. In Sirion 2.86, we’ve continued to act on this valuable feedback by rolling out even more significant updates. Most notably, we’ve enhanced the e-signature process, improved Salesforce Managed Package and overhauled the Auto Extraction module—two of the most requested features. While these improvements take center stage, there’s a lot more exciting functionality packed into this release.
As always, Sirion 2.86 reflects our ongoing commitment to evolving the platform based on user needs. With this release, we’ve not only enhanced the e-signature workflow, Salesforce Managed Package and revamped Auto Extraction but also made strides in platform usability, data accessibility, and API integrations.
Key Highlights of the New Release:
- Streamlined E-Signature with OneSpan Integration
- Enhanced Salesforce Managed Package
- Revamped Auto Extraction User Experience
- Enhanced Platform Usability and Data Accessibility
- API Enhancements for Streamlined Integrations
Streamlined E-Signature: OneSpan Integration and Workflow Enhancements
Managing contract signatures has never been easier with the integration of OneSpan E-Signature and enhancements that improve the overall signing process. We’ve worked to simplify workflows while maintaining control over document security and compliance.
1. OneSpan E-Signature Integration & Standardized Framework
The integration of OneSpan enables users to:
- Send, sign, track, and manage signature workflows directly through a web browser, keeping the process simple and accessible within the Sirion platform.
- Benefit from a standardized e-signature framework that supports multiple e-sign tools without the need for custom development—making it easier and faster to integrate new e-signature solutions.
2. Enhanced E-Signature Workflow with Improved Usability
We’ve made the e-signature process smoother and more efficient:
- When users click “Prepare Documents”, the e-sign application opens in a new window, allowing users to retain access to the Sirion CLM platform in the original browser tab. This ensures continuity and prevents workflow interruptions.
- Multiple documents can now be sent for e-signature in a single envelope, reducing the number of individual signing requests and simplifying the process for signers.
- Documents under clause review are locked and cannot be sent for signature until the review process is completed, ensuring that only final, approved versions are signed.
- Additionally, users can now reactivate expired envelopes through a new API, eliminating the need for IT intervention and allowing for a seamless continuation of the signature process if an envelope expires.
Enhancement to Salesforce Managed Package
We have made significant enhancements to the Salesforce Managed Package. These updates are designed to streamline user interactions, improve data handling, and facilitate better collaboration within the Sirion platform. Below are the key improvements that will enhance your Salesforce experience.
1. Enhanced User Experience
The update improves user experience with refined toasts, error messages, notifications, form placeholders, and application icons, ensuring consistency with Sirion branding.
2. Introduction of Stakeholder Fields
The Sirion Managed Package now supports Stakeholder fields, allowing values to be populated in Salesforce. This includes Single-Select and Multi-Select options for users, along with improved search and auto-population features.
3. Improved Field Configuration and Filtering
- Nested Field Configuration: Administrators can create nested fields that display or hide based on the values of parent fields, enhancing data entry accuracy.
- Dynamic Filtering (Filter Sequence): Dropdown fields can be linked so that when a user selects an option in a parent dropdown, the child dropdown automatically updates to show only relevant choices, simplifying the selection process.
- Default Value Configuration: Administrators can now set default values for fields:
- Static Defaulting: Simple default values set in the form setup.
- Scripted Defaulting: Default values based on specific scripted logic for more complex needs.
Auto Extraction Module: A More Intuitive and Collaborative User Experience
As organizations handle increasingly complex contract data, we’ve enhanced the Auto Extraction module to provide a more intuitive user experience. Our goal is to help users navigate and manage contract data with greater ease and efficiency.
Revamped User Interface for Easier Data Navigation
The Auto Extraction module has undergone a user experience redesign to simplify how users interact with and analyze extracted data:
- A new sidebar has been introduced, allowing users to navigate through sections of the contract more easily, reducing time spent searching for specific information.
- The data display has been streamlined, providing a clearer and more concise view of extracted contract fields, making it easier to focus on key information.
- We’ve also added the ability to tag users in comments, promoting better collaboration and faster document reviews. This feature allows teams to discuss, flag, and resolve issues within the platform, leading to more efficient contract workflows.
Enhanced Platform Usability and Data Accessibility
We’ve made key improvements to streamline data navigation and enhance usability:
- Improved Timestamp Display
Email timestamps are now shown in the entity’s or client’s time zone, offering clearer communication tracking. - Immediate User Access
First-time users assigned to a User Access Criteria (UAC) now gain instant access to relevant records, speeding up workflows. - Enhanced Data Filters and Views
Key fields from Vendor Hierarchy, Supplier, and Contract entities have been added to Filters and Columns, improving data visibility and download options for easier analysis.
API Enhancements for Streamlined Integrations
We’ve improved API functionality to support seamless business workflows:
- Renamed ‘Integration’ Group
In Admin 2.0, ‘Integration’ is now ‘Business API & Integrations,’ reflecting the growing role of APIs in operations. - Broader API Reference Access
API documentation is now available to all users, streamlining access to integration details and enabling faster setups.
