intro
The Sirion November product release introduces updates that streamline supplier data navigation, enhance collaboration in clause-level redlining, and improve platform functionality for dynamic updates. Additionally, upgraded integration capabilities ensure seamless connectivity with your existing systems, further optimizing workflows. Here’s a deep dive into what’s new in Sirion 2.87 and how it will empower your teams to work more efficiently.
Key Highlights of the New Release:
- Streamlined e-signature workflows with Sirar integration.
- Enhanced authoring with clickable supplier details and improved redlining.
- Dynamic platform updates for automated contract management.
- Upgraded APIs for better integration and data tracking.
E-Signature Upgrades for Effortless Signing
Sirion continues to enhance digital signatures for a smoother, more efficient contracting experience.
1. Sirar E-Signature Tool Integration
Our latest integration with the Sirar E-Signature tool enables users to send, sign, and manage digital signatures directly from their browser. No more switching between platforms or juggling manual steps—everything you need is right at your fingertips. Administrators can also set up default email templates to streamline the process of collecting signatures.
2. Smarter Syncing for E-Sign Fields
To make e-signature workflows even more efficient:
- With Incremental Sync Enabled: Users are prompted to deploy e-sign fields from the source environment, ensuring consistency across deployments.
- With Incremental Sync Disabled: Custom e-sign fields are auto-created, with the “Exclude from Deployment” checkbox selected to prevent accidental overwrites.
These changes give you more control over how e-signature fields are managed, reducing errors and saving time.
Smarter Contract Authoring Features
Authoring contracts just became a lot more streamlined with improvements that simplify navigation, enhance redlining, and support dynamic workflows.
1. Clickable Supplier Names
Navigating between supplier details and contract requests has become simpler. On the Contract Request page, supplier names are now clickable links. A quick popup provides essential details, and with one click, you can access the Supplier Page for comprehensive information.
2. See Third-Party Changes as Redlines
In the clause-level review process, third-party edits are now automatically highlighted as redlines. Reviewers can see who made the changes, accept or reject them, and retain redlines in future contract versions. This makes collaboration more transparent and reduces the risk of missed updates.
3. Expanded Concatenate Functionality
Our concatenate feature, used for automating workflows, now supports more field types, including:
- Text
- Single Select
- Numeric
- Date
- Date and Time
This update lets you create more complex workflows, unlocking new possibilities for automating repetitive tasks.
Platform Enhancements for Dynamic Workflows
Behind the scenes, we’ve made significant updates to the platform to improve flexibility and reliability.
1. Combine Date and Numeric Fields for Complex Rules
Admins can now define rules like “Expiration Date = Effective Date + Contract Term,” combining numeric and date fields in Value Update tasks. This enhancement brings a more flexibility to contract updates, helping you automate time-sensitive calculations and reduce manual effort.
2. Improved Nested Field Logic
Nested fields in your contract forms now reset in the correct order. For example, when a parent field value changes, all dependent fields are automatically updated. This improvement ensures your data remains accurate and consistent, even in complex workflows.
Better Integration, Better Connectivity
Our latest API updates enhance integration capabilities, making it easier to connect Sirion with other systems.
1. Enhanced Search API
Now you can filter records by entity IDs, such as Contracts, Counterparties, or Purchase Orders, allowing for more precise searches across your data.
2. New Webhook Parameters
We’ve added parameters like reportOutput and fullDumpFrequency to webhooks, enabling better tracking and reporting of contract-related data.
3. Consistent API Naming Conventions
Custom fields and roles now follow clearer naming conventions, such as cf_component for custom fields. These consistent names make it easier to maintain integrations across environments.
4. Increased API Rate Limits
To support more demanding workflows, we’ve raised the rate limits for “External Type” tokens, giving you greater flexibility for integrations.
